Dr. Keith Maruya

Dr. Keith A. Maruya is an environmental scientist who specializes in the analysis, fate and effects of trace contaminants in aquatic systems. He obtained his BS (1983) and MS (1986) in chemical and environmental engineering from USC, and his PhD in environmental engineering science (1995) from UC Berkeley. Keith joined SCCWRP in 2005 and is an active member of the American Chemical Society and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. He currently directs research that focuses on relevant, cost-effective measurement of trace organic contaminants, and prioritization of unregulated chemicals for future monitoring and research.
