Greg Lyon

Greg is a biologist specializing in water quality assessment and regional monitoring. He received a B.S. in Aquatic Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996, and joined SCCWRP in 2006. Greg has managed SCCWRP’s point source mass emissions program, which estimates the discharges of all NPDES permitted facilities to the Southern California Bight. Currently, he is developing a similar program to assess regional mass emissions from wet and dry weather non-point source runoff. He has also been involved in regional monitoring studies to assess bacterial and pollutant loads in Southern California watersheds, estuaries, and receiving waters.
