Dr. Wenjian Lao

Wenjian Lao specializes in trace analysis and enantioseparation of toxic contaminants. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Xi'an Petroleum Institute, in 1990, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Analytic Chemistry from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1996 and 2000 respectively. Dr. Lao's current research focuses on solid phase microextraction method development and application, chiral separation and enantioselective degradation of pesticides and pharmaceuticals in the environment, and mitigation of pesticide runoff in southern California.
